My footy team is having an absolutely awful season.

After a few good years, they are languishing at the bottom of the ladder. I still keep on hoping that maybe they’ll turn things around.

But of course, it’s a hope not really based on anything certain.

Sometimes we go through awful seasons in life.

It feels like we’re languishing at the bottom of the ladder, and we hope things will turn around.

But unlike my footy team, as a Christian, my hope is based on something certain.

God has promised that one day, He will make all things new again.

And that He will work through all the awful seasons of life for my good, and it’s a hope that all who trust in God can have too.
